Quick Answer: Farlands' 50 achievements are five chains: the Ark percentage ladder (10% β 100%, the game's spine), collections (fish, insects, vegetables, dishes, planets), relationships (friendship levels 1-5 β marriage β everyone maxed), infrastructure (house, barns, ship), and volume grinds (100 fish, 100 insects, a million credits, the "Master" series). The story ends at 70% Ark; everything past that is completionist land, and over a dozen achievements sit at ~0.1%.
Version note: Global percentages captured from Steam on July 17, 2026 (day 2 after 1.0). Early-launch numbers skew toward Early Access veterans and will drift β and loading an Early Access save can retroactively pop Ark achievements, so the Ark-chain figures are slightly inflated (details). System details come from the developers' update notes and forum reports, linked inline.

A few descriptions are hidden or unlabeled on Steam's stats page; we've marked those rather than guessing. This table will fill in as the community documents them.
Reading the List: Where Your Time Actually Goes
The early funnel is story-driven: buy planet β fix droid β net and rod β first ship upgrade. Just play and the top of the table happens (the Beginner Guide walks this stretch).
The Ark ladder is the game. Every 10% tier is an achievement, story events hang off thresholds, and 70% triggers the finale. SR755 Savior ("Complete the story") sits at 0.4%, in line with the 70% tier's 2.0% minus the drop-off. The 80-100% tiers at 0.1% are pure post-story completionism.
Collections are the long tail. Every fish, every insect, every vegetable, every dish, every expansion chip: five separate 0.1% achievements. The game surfaces none of these checklists in-game β no tooltips, no real collection log at 1.0 β which is why they're this rare.
Patch 1.0.3 (July 23) fixed the "harvest all vegetables" achievement not being awarded. If you'd grown every crop and Natural born farmer never popped, update. Its 0.1% figure above was captured before the fix, so expect it to have been understated.
Achievements can pop late rather than never. A player at 99% completion reported on August 5 that a batch of theirs β the Yellow Robeet one, the 80% and 90% Ark tiers, story completion and the cooking master β showed as unearned, then trickled in over the following days: "slowly, but surely the achievements are syncing." Robeet, crop, fish and insect ones landed; percentage-tier and cooking ones lagged longest. Single report, no developer reply, and no patch names it. Before filing a bug, give a missing achievement a few sessions and check whether Steam is simply behind.
"Grow every vegetable" (0.1%) starts here β every new crop type is also Ark progress. (Screenshot: JanduSoft)
The romance chain is strictly layered. Levels 1 through 5 are separate achievements (1.0% down to 0.1%), then marriage (Newlyweds), then Pickup Artist for max friendship with all eight candidates. Note the drop between level 1 (1.0%) and level 2 (0.7%): friendship grinding is slow, so budget gift-giving time. Candidate locations, gift strategy, and wedding requirements are in the Romance & Marriage Guide.
The volume grinds overlap naturally. 100 fish and 100 insects feed the Ark and the collection achievements at once, and a million credits accumulates while you fund ship and house upgrades. Don't grind these in isolation β they're byproducts of chasing everything else.
Catch Your Collections by Hand
Bought fish and insects fill the Ark but don't count toward the collector achievements. One completionist filled the Ark with purchased bugs and fish, then had to go back and catch every one of them by hand: "I filled the ark with bought bugs and fish, but then I had to catch the ones I had bought." (Player-reported, July 26 thread.)
So catch each species yourself the first time. Buying is still fine for Ark percentage, just not for Fish collector and Insect collector.
Expansion chips work the opposite way β buy them. The traveling merchants at town-square celebrations plus the fixed planet merchants (Te'Kragh, Iriel, Bob on Vanadian, Hunter, and Eddy's father) collectively stock them.
The Artifact Wall: Hafnir's Stone Mask
Artifact drops are the documented late-game wall on the way to Completionist. One player spent three in-game years hunting Hafnir's stone mask as their final artifact; another spent 170 in-game days on a single tablet. Hafnir's eight artifacts are exactly the ones that can't be purchased, so there's no money fallback.
A player who finished 100% including the full Ark left the working method:
- Sleep, then sweep the area, then repeat. The Hafnir artifact spawns in a random spot each day.
- Look for a pile of trash or rocks, not an "X" dig marker. You hit it with your hoe. Scanning for X's is how people walk past it for months.
- Check the traveling merchants during town-square celebrations for other missing artifacts, and Bob on Vanadian, who changes locations. They stock artifacts and chips, though nobody has reported them stocking Hafnir's eight.
- Rotate your saves. The same player warns that late-game bugs can force you to redo a day or two.
Start the Hafnir loop early if you're routing toward Completionist. This is drop RNG working as designed, not a bug.
Practical Routing Advice
A full 100% roadmap would be dishonest right now β the community hasn't documented every fish location, insect season, or dish recipe at 1.0, and neither have we. What's solid today:
- Play the story to 70% Ark. That alone carries you through most systems and the first ~20 achievements.
- Start fresh rather than importing an EA save if achievement integrity matters to you, because of the retroactive-pop quirk.
- Open every system early: one barn of each type (Barn Capsules from Bonnie), steady friendship gifts, consistent fishing and bug-catching. The 0.1% collection wall is mostly about starting these loops early, not endgame heroics.
FAQ
Can I get all 50 in one save? Nothing suggests otherwise. There are no visible mutually-exclusive choices, so the constraint is time, not branching.
Do EA-save veterans have an advantage? Their Ark achievements may pop instantly from the migration quirk, but collections and relationships still need the actual playtime.
Is the hidden ??? achievement known yet? Not reliably documented yet. We'll update when the community confirms it.
